This was a piece I was commissioned to do for the Town School in New York City. All of the work is on-site. I was interested in investigating the nature of stairs and their ambiguous and indecisive nature in space. Up? Down? 1st floor? Basement? These transitional questions gave me pause to think about how to best extract and connect these thoughts together in a piece that had a kinetic feeling to it.
